Internal Reviewer Standard (Content)

The standard used by accredited, registered professionals within the Anxiety Fitness team when reviewing content for quality, clarity, and safety.

Core standard

  • Educational (not individualized treatment)
  • Evidence-informed
  • Clinically accurate for public education
  • Safety-boundaried
  • Non-stigmatizing and respectful

Commonly accepted approaches

  • CBT-informed psychoeducation
  • Exposure-based anxiety principles (when presented safely)
  • ACT-informed principles
  • Behavioral / behavioral activation principles
  • Compassion-focused principles

Red flags (flag / reject / escalate)

  • Guarantees or cure claims
  • Individualized diagnosis or treatment instructions
  • Unsafe exposure guidance without context
  • Medication advice or medication-change guidance
  • Misleading simplification of therapy principles
  • Crisis content without emergency signposting
  • Claims that platform/social content replaces therapy or medical care

Review priority (current phased model)

Until all content can be reviewed, priority goes to content that explains therapy principles, discusses mental health mechanisms, could be misread as advice, or covers higher-risk topics (for example panic, OCD, exposure, diagnosis/treatment concepts, or crisis topics).
