Safeguarding Protocol
Baseline protocol for professionals and Peer Support Facilitators when risk content appears on-platform.
1. Identify risk quickly
Treat references to self-harm, suicide, harm to others, abuse, exploitation, or inability to stay safe as high-priority safeguarding content.
2. Do not provide crisis counseling on-platform
Do not attempt one-to-one crisis intervention, diagnosis, or treatment via platform features.
3. Direct to emergency and local services
Ask the member to contact local emergency services immediately where there is imminent risk. Share the emergency resources directory:
4. Escalate internally
Flag the content for moderation/admin review promptly. Preserve relevant context and avoid public arguments in comments or chat.
5. Keep communication brief and safe
Use supportive, non-clinical language. Do not make promises, do not suggest medication changes, and do not provide personalized treatment instructions.
Important
Anxiety Fitness is not an emergency service. This protocol supports escalation and safety boundaries; it does not replace local legal, regulatory, or employer safeguarding obligations.
